Following Star Wars this movie broke down more barriers helping the general moviegoer realize the Sci-Fi genre was more than campy pulp stories. Ridley Scott blasted into the limelight with his sophomore movie instantly cementing his place in Sci-Fi history. Not only was the movie a commercial success but also a breakthrough in creative storytelling and vivid imagery.
